Mercy Award

Mercy Award History & Criteria

The Mercy Award is named after LifePoint Health’s founding Chairman and CEO, Scott Mercy. It recognizes one employee at each hospital who best exemplifies the spirit and values upon which the company was founded, and is the highest honor a LifePoint Health employee can receive.

Mercy Award winners:

  • Demonstrate a level of commitment and caring that transcends the everyday
  • Respect others in everything they do, and
  • Inspire others with compassion, dedication and a merciful spirit
